Alterjoy, the solo project of The Daily Chase’s Ben Heidrich, thrives on one trait: unpredictability. Simply put, there aren’t any real constraints or limits on Alterjoy’s sound, and the music within certainly reflects it. Currently sitting on a handful of songs that apparently don’t sound anything alike, “Better Make A Move” has elements of EDM, rock, and pop to create something that sounds fresh – but also has an edge. Ben Heidrich (also of The Daily Chase) purposely has no genre constraints for the solo project, so it won’t be a surprise if (not when) something completely out of left-field arrives. But until then, “Better Make A Move” is a solid addition to his repertoire.
