WWE Clash at the Castle 2022: A Complete Guide

After 30 years, WWE is finally returning to the UK with a major live event called Clash at the Castle 2022.
The card for the WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 event has recently been the subject of much discussion, as the WWE will host a marquee event in Cardiff, Wales, on September 3. This will be the first time since SummerSlam 1992 that the UK has played host to a major event.

Since it is a grand event, the match card will feature several big matches. WWE has announced matches for the event every week, and another match was added after Riddle’s clearance. The fans have eagerly awaited this year’s biggest match, and it’ll be taking place soon.

Roman Reigns’ Undisputed Universal Championship will be on the line when he faces Drew McIntyre in the main event of the biggest show in the UK, although Drew is unlikely to win the title.

WWE announced that Seth Rollins would face off against Riddle. It was a match that was billed for SummerSlam that many had been anticipating, however it had to be canceled due to an injury Riddle suffered. WWE has also confirmed that Smackdown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan will defend her title against Shayna Baszler.

The trio of Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka will face off against Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky. It has also been confirmed that the Raw Women’s Championship will not be defended at the event. The championship match for the Tag Team Titles will also be held at the event.

Match Card for the Big Game

The following five matches have been confirmed for the show, with each of them likely to set Wales alight when the major event takes place in the UK:

1. Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship
2. Liv Morgan vs Shayna Baszler for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
3. Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs Riddle in a single’s match
4. Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka vs Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai in a six-woman tag team match
5. Gunther vs Sheamus for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Predictions: Reigns will defeat McIntrye in the main event
It’s hard to imagine a scenario in which Roman Reigns would lose the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He is currently the betting favorite among professionals.

Reigns have won the competition on several occasions, usually with the help of The Usos and special counsel Paul Heyman. However, entering the Clash at the Castle pay-per-view event, his run atop the WWE mountain feels as uncertain as at any other time.

Nonetheless, while it could be possible to see McIntrye win in front of a British crowd and potentially make the company look favorable in this particular market, it is unlikely to see Reigns dropping the belt at this stage of his title reign.

Final Words

It would not be a surprise if we were to see WWE book more matches on the card before September 3. Many feuds on the main roster would make for an exciting game at Cardiff. They will be sure to include some of these items in the show.
