WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 (Wrestling Review)

WWE

Elimination Chamber

Jeddah, Saudi-Arabien

Feb.19th, 2022

WWE Universal Title Match
Roman Reigns (w/Paul Heyman) (c) vs. Goldberg

6 minutes was about what I called this match to last. It was your typical match that you’d expect here. It kept the action going but turned into each just going for and trying their big moves. Ending it with the submission was different though. Goldberg just seems like a waste of a match anymore to bring in.

1.5 / 5

WWE RAW Women’s Title #1 Contendership Elimination Chamber Match
Nikki ASH vs. Doudrop vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan vs. Bianca Belair

A very typical females chamber match. Bliss was super over with the crowd as was Ripley. For her first match back in months Bliss was pretty good in ring too. Belair winning was expected but she looked good here as a threat taking down the last 2 in ring. Some good spots throughout but just nothing fantastic.

2.5 / 5

Tag Team Match
Naomi & Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville

A painfully bland and boring match. Ronda having one arm tied was a dumb gimmick and it just seemed like the match just never meshed well and had any momentum with it. Thankfully it didn’t last a long time but it was a painful 9 minute match.

Falls Count Anywhere Match
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss (w/Happy Corbin)

No DQ match was pretty much a 2 on 1 handicap match. Moss deserves all the credit for keeping the match going after taking a nasty move on his head / neck. Moss takes bumps well and has the look but keeping Drew as the winner here was the wise choice. The match had its moments though especially in the second half.

2.5 / 5

WWE RAW Women’s Title Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lita

Lita did great for her first singles match in some time and got great crowd reception. They worked great together and put on a good quick action packed match. Becky sold Litas moves well and the drama of Lita almost winning was good.

3 / 5

WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins vs. Riddle vs. Austin Theory

A pretty lackluster Chamber match until Lesner entered. Lashley getting taken out with a worked injury was lame given he flew to Saudi just to not wrestle. Lesner F5’ing Theory off the cage pod and it looked pretty brutal. Wish they’d have at least tried to make this better though, thankfully I’m enjoying Lesner this run at least.
