Whether you enjoy them or dislike them, there’s no doubt that Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful bands ever to hail from Canada. Emerging worldwide with their 2001 album Silver Side Up, they’ve sold tens of millions of albums worldwide, and have even spawned some hilarious Internet memes. It’s clear they’ve been amazingly successful as arguably post-grunge’s biggest act – and now the band will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in March 2023.
As one of the leaders of post-grunge’s massive popularity, they’ve outlasted all kinds of trends over the years, and it’s rather impressive. Subsequent albums from the band have managed to top the charts, all while they remain a popular arena-level act. Nickelback will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2023 Juno Awards, where they’ve performed many times before.
