Steel Panther brings the Res-Erection tour to Green Bay for an evening of partying (Show Review)

By Mariah Berg

Everyone knows it’ll be a party when Steel Panther comes to town. Green Bay will always show up to party with Steel Panther even if it’s on a Monday night! Titty balls were bouncing through the crowd from the get go, it really set the mood for the rest of the show!

The Res-erection tour came to Green Bay, WI on a Monday night with a sold out show at the Epic Event Center. Steel Panther is such an exciting and fantastic band to see live but the fact that they brought Black Stone Cherry along with them, was the cherry on top! It just doesn’t get better than that!

Black Stone Cherry opened up their set with their popular tune “Me and Mary Jane” and instantly the packed crowd was singing and dancing along with them! There is so much to be said about Black Stone Cherry’s live performance. The amount of energy that every single member of that band has (even their bongo player, Jeffrey Boggs!) is through the roof! Black Stone Cherry was the best band to get the crowd ready for what Steel Panther had in store for them.

Next to rock the crowd of Green Bay, WI was the one and only Steel Panther! As soon as drummer Stix Zadinia stepped foot on the stage, the crowd roared. As Michael Starr, Satchel and Spyder followed, the crowd grew even louder. Steel Panther opened up their 14 song set list with their song “Goin’ In The Back Door” and my, what a wonderful song to get the party started. Steel Panther is one of few bands that interact so heavily with their fans.

Steel Panther is notorious for bringing girls up on stage with them. They did just that for songs “Asian Hooker” “Weenie Ride” and of course many lovely ladies gathered on stage for the song “17 Girls in a Row”. Not only did Steel Panther slay their hit songs, they also performed two covers for Green Bay. Michael Starr gave his best Ozzy Osborne impression as they performed “Crazy Train”. They also tossed in a cover of “Living After Midnight” by Judas Priest. Satchel even got a chance to steal the show as he gave a killer guitar solo!

Steel Panther will always be proof that Rock n Roll is far from dead! The Res-erection tour is making it’s way across the states with two of the best live bands around. Buy a ticket for a show near you and go support live music! But fair warning, you may end up dancing and your cheeks will hurt from all the laughs that will be had at this live performance!
