Deftones’ current headlining tour with Gojira and VOWWS supporting definitely looked like a good time. Though it’s over, most dates sold out, and it looks like it was a good time. With a tour like Gojira and Deftones together, though, it’s not a surprise that some epic collaborations have happened.
One of them already did a couple nights ago, where Chino Moreno joined Gojira on stage for a cover of Sepultura’s “Territory”. A single off the band’s 1993 album Chaos A.D., the song naturally lends itself (and really, the album) as a key influence on Gojira’s sound, so it makes sense. It was also executed quite well.
