This appears to be the final straw for one-hit wonder rock band Trapt. After spending the last 12 months or so going on a number of unhinged rants about everything from wanting to fight Ice-T to uninformed rants about actual number of albums sold and Pandora numbers, Trapt’s Twitter account – run by vocalist Chris Taylor Brown – has been suspended. Why, you ask? It wasn’t because Chris Taylor Brown supports the neo-fascist group Proud Boys.
Well, Chris Brown defended statutory rape between a 15 year old boy, and a 25 year old woman. Initially the spat happened when the Ill Tempered Podcast (please let that be a reference to the legendary Shai Hulud) posted a podcast episode covering Trapt, which Chris Brown (of course he did!) responded to. Then all hell broke loose as Chris Taylor Brown doubled down on his statutory rape defending comments. Dude must be really headstrong to take on all these users on Twitter.

The band recently played to a handful of people at a strip club, and needless to say, the marketing “strategy” isn’t paying off. Below is the tweet of the day, though.
