We knew this one come in one form or another, Sony acquiring a studio to stay competitive with Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. I didn’t think that studio would be Bungie, yes that’s right the original makers of Halo are now owned by Sony. No, this doesn’t mean Sony will get Halo, Microsoft owns Halo. Destiny is no doubt popular, despite poor development choices such as removing DLC people paid for. Sony must have seen more potential than what is already there to fork over a cool $3.6 billion for just one game IP though, because really Destiny is all Bungie has. Sony has clear intentions at staying competitive with Microsoft, let’s see what happens next in this buying war.
