Photo Review: The Neighbourhood Perform SOLD OUT Halloween Show In Orlando – 10/31/19

Last night our photojournalist Savannah Rowley had the pleasure of attending The Neighbourhood’s sold out show at the House of Blues Orlando for Halloween night, and what a memorable night it was. The NBHD had musical acts Claud and Slow Hollows open the show, coming out in costumes such as a monkey and hotdog, with several crowd members in costumes themselves. The long-awaited show led to much excitement as the Neighbourhood had an amazing production and were all dressed up for the occasion.

Opening the night was Claud, a solo project of Claud Mintz. Formerly known as Toast, the band has re-cooperated and released new music, on the rise touring with musical acts such as Clario, Triathlon and The Maria’s. The band members came out in a banana suit, monkey suit and a penguin suit, playing well known songs “Sideline Star” and “Wish You Were Gay.”

Slow Hollows was up next, owning the stage in costumes as a hotdog, flower queen, and Billie Eilish. Playing songs such as “Nerve”, “Hospital Flowers” and “The Art School Kids”, they gave an amazing performance while fans waited in anticipation for the NBHD to take the stage. With their recently released new album Actors that features production from Tyler, The Creator I’m sure this band will be blowing up more in the future.

Lastly the band everyone had been waiting for took the stage, The Neighbourhood. Opening with recently released single, “Middle of Somewhere”, Jesse Rutherford came out solo with a guitar in a frankenstein costume which had the crowd going wild. The rest of the band followed in skull costumes and makeup as the night continued playing popular songs such as “Afraid”, “Scary Love”, “R.I.P. 2 My Youth” and the infamously known “Sweater Weather”. To commemorate the night, the band also played a rendition of “Monster Mash”, making it equally just as spooky.
