Megan Thee Stallion is now the unofficial queen of nu-metal, uses Static-X’s “Cold” in a new IG post

Let’s make one thing clear, Megan Thee Stallion is very popular. She currently has the #1 song in the USA right now with “Hiss”, and it’s definitely not her only #1 song either. Late in 2023, she expanded her audience in a surprising way by collaborating with Spiritbox on a rock remix of her song “Cobra”, and to say it worked is a bit of an understatement. Now she’s doubled up by utilizing Static-X’s iconic “Cold” in a new video on her Instagram account.

The video, it should be noted, might not be totally safe for work. However, this is pretty cool either way. Many of the comments are from her existing fans also celebrating the use of this iconic song, which also featured in the Queen Of The Damned movie (which starred the late Aaliyah). Even Static-X praised its use, and notably it’s already picking up some increased attention on streaming services because of it.
