Linkin Park’s “In The End” eclipses two BILLION Spotify streams, the first nu-metal song to do so

Linkin Park and making history, name a more iconic duo. Arguably their biggest hit (“Numb” is probably right alongside it, though), “In The End” helped Hybrid Theory sell millions of copies after its 2000 release, as its release as a single helped album sales skyrocket in late 2001. Narrowly becoming a #1 overall hit in the USA, it is, by most measures, one of the biggest rock songs in history.

Now it’s become the first nu-metal song to reach two BILLION Spotify streams, previously becoming the first to do so in 2021. It actually reels in around one million streams on Spotify each day, a very impressive amount for any artist, but especially for any rock or metal band in the year of our Lord 2024. Notably, Linkin Park is one of the few rock or metal artists in Spotify’s top 100 list of the most-streamed artists on a monthly basis, clocking in currently at #71. So awesome.
