Last Chance To Reason announces new album

lastchanceA music video for “The Escapist,” a brand new song by progressive metal group Last Chance To Reason, can be seen at this location. The track — which appears on the band’s new release, “Level 3,” due August 6th via Prosthetic Records — is available for immediate download when fans pre-order the album on Bandcamp.

The band commented: “We’re stoked to share our new video for ‘The Escapist.’ We shot this awhile back with our buddy Corey Norman, who also directed the video for (‘Level 2’ track) ‘Upload Complete.’ The song centers around culture escaping from a bleak dystopian future into the freedom of imagination found in virtual reality.”

Recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Fla. with Eyal Levi (Dååth, Whitechapel, Six Feet Under), “Level 3” — hailed by Outburn as “breathtaking” — will be supported by a summer headlining tour, which will also feature Evan Brewer (The Faceless). This marks the group’s return to the road after a busy 2011 and 2012, during which they toured alongside the likes of Animals As Leaders, Protest The Hero, Obscura, The Faceless, Atheist, Intronaut and Scale The Summit.

Additionally, Last Chance To Reason singer Michael Lessard has announced that after filling in on vocals for the Indiana-based progressive metal group The Contortionist on their recent tour, he will now officially join that band as their new singer. Meanwhile, another member of The Contortionist, guitarist Robby Baca, will perform with Lessard and Last Chance To Reason during their summer tour.

Says LCTR drummer Evan Sammons, “We’re pumped to become further pair-bonded with our metal life mates The Contortionist. Not only is Mike joining up with those dudes as their permanent singer, but we’ve got Robby ‘Smooth Talka’ Baca filling in on guitar on our upcoming tour with Evan Brewer.”
