After Rebel Rock was canceled, From Ashes To New prove that fans come first with impromptu free show in Orlando

Central Florida’s Rebel Rock Festival was abruptly canceled Friday morning, and considering the legion of fans that flew and drove several hours only to see the rug pulled out from under them, they’re rightfully upset. And considering it was done on the morning of the festival, that left many bands without the ability to stage a show last minute.

Luckily for fans who came to listen to some of the biggest rock and metal bands on the planet, there was a slight respite. Enter From Ashes To New, who have consistently proven that it’s the fans who matter the most. A brief look at their interactions on social media confirms that, and it was further amplified by the band making things happen at the eleventh hour.

Putting on a last-minute show is always a complicated thing, but From Ashes To New managed to put on a pop-up show in Orlando, along with Saul and Afterlife. In fact, they made it completely free for fans, who no doubt were excited to get something for their money and time spent traveling. Beyond this gesture being just a good way to get their name out there and make the best of an awful situation, it’s now impossible to say these bands don’t care about their fans. Oh, and if you watch the videos FATN posted below, you can hear a capacity crowd say “Fuck Rebel Rock”. This definitely isn’t over.
