Chaos Reigns: Trivium vocalist Matt Heafy has a new SiriusXM show

Matt Heafy has made his mark in several pursuits in addition to his band Trivium – including martial arts, gaming, and Twitch streaming, as well as a side project, Ibaraki, that explores Japanese mythology (and even has an accompanying children’s book).  Now we can add “radio DJ” to that list, as he has a new hour-long show called Chaos Hour that recently began on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal channel.  New episodes premiere at 6 pm EST on Wednesdays, and replay throughout the week.

So far, three episodes have aired, and as Matt Heafy explained on his Instagram, each one has a specific theme.  The first episode is a shout-out to the metal bands he’s currently enjoying, the second is about the older classics, while the third playlist features songs from the Swedish metal bands (plus one Finnish band) that specifically influenced and inspired Trivium’s music.  It’s pretty clear he’s a big fan of the Swedish melodic death metal scene, as several bands from that third episode made his first playlist as well.  Whether or not you are a SiriusXM subscriber, you can see what songs made all three of these playlists below:
