There is no singular path to building up your fanbase. Just ask Bad Omens, who on the cusp of their third album in 2022’s The Death Of Peace Of Mind, started building a massive fanbase that seems unreal to even watch now. Not that they were unknown prior to the record – far from it. However, much like Sleep Token and a couple other very hyped bands right now (especially Spiritbox), they’re vaulting to near arena-level status now.
Stunningly, they now have each of the top 3 spots on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. The band’s recent collaboration with Poppy, “V.A.N”, has now joined both “The Death Of Peace Of Mind” and “Just Pretend” at the top of that chart. Both “Just Pretend” and “The Death Of Peace Of Mind” have already been certified Gold by the RIAA, and “Like A Villain” isn’t far behind, either.
