After much deliberation and many false starts, Avenged Sevenfold have returned with new music for the first time since the release of The Stage in 2016. This arrives in the form of new single “Nobody”, a six-minute long track that’s off their new album, Life Is But A Dream. That’s out June 2nd.
The new A7X track arrives after years of recording, breaks, COVID-19 interrupting everything, and general life happenings for everyone involved. The new track looks to continue the more progressive song structures of The Stage, but also seeks to break new ground for the band, who have evolved continually over the years. It’ll be interesting to see what the overall reception for the new track will be, of course, as they’re pretty far removed from the records that helped Avenged Sevenfold explode in the last 20 years or so.
