Gothenburg, Sweden-based alternative metal band Dream Drop are gearing up for the release of their second full-length record Acne Superstar, which they say is a tribute to their teenage years. This past Friday they released “Fold Under Pressure,” their third single of 2023 following “Acne Superstar” and “Bomb Your Place of Work.”
Dream Drop have opened for Blood Command throughout Europe and also toured with Smash Into Pieces and STARSET. While these shows have allowed them to cultivate a following on their side of the Atlantic, this upcoming record presents the opportunity for them to break in North America.
Here’s what they had to say about the new track, which was written in the Norwegian mountains: “Fold Under Pressure is a tribute to Arctic Monkeys that took a very long time to write. The chorus was the absolute last thing to be finished on the entire record because we couldn’t find the right melody. It’s also the song that changed the most from the demo to the studio version.”
