AEW Rampage – Episode 24 (01.14.2022) (Wrestling Review)

Raleigh, North Carolina

Jan. 14th, 2022

Singles Match
Trent Beretta (w/Chuck Taylor, Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy & Wheeler Yuta) vs. Adam Cole (w/Bobby Fish, Brandon Cutler, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Kyle O’Reilly, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)

A really solid match between these two. Paced nicely and not a super fast moving match. Made it believable that Trent stood a chance even when you knew he wasn’t winning. Trent really showed how good he is at taking moves and selling though here.

Singles Match
Shawn Spears (w/Wardlow) vs. Andrew Everett

A squash match for Spears. Andrew Everett deserves so much better than this to show off in AEW.

.5 / 5

Six Man Tag Team Match
Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford & The Bunny (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. Kris Statlander, Leyla Hirsch & Red Velvet

A pretty average tag match. Felt like it went through too quickly and no one really shined. Heels winning was expected but nice to see The Bunny doing more.

2 / 5

AEW World Tag Team Title Match
Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) (w/Christian Cage) (c) vs. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & John Silver) (w/Anna Jay & Evil Uno)

A fun match that showcased Silver some but really made Reynolds, who isn’t seen on main cards in ring, look great. It was chaotic and rules didn’t apply, like every tag match, but it was a good match and made the tag champs look good in a steady fight.
