Psychedelic post-hardcore band Coletta have revealed their latest music video for a song off their LP Idealism, “Juicy”.
A band defined by their unique sound that can be best described as an auditory acid trip, Coletta’s visual accompaniment in this “Juicy” music video doesn’t disappoint. Directed by Mrshamoozoo Films, it’s hard to find a better word for it other than “trippy”. We watch vocalist Dylan Alexander stumble through a house as everything around him is not what it seems, as band members are frozen in time and his fridge is full of plastic eatery, leading to a climax of an alien attack in bed. Every time he wakes up, he’s greeted by a melting Dali clock.
I’ve found this band to be something special, as Idealism has grown on me over time to be a strong record from 2020 with lasting appeal. Here’s hoping for more visuals from Coletta like this in the future!
