Beyond Deviation set world record with 400 deathcore vocalists on one 37-minute song

Deathcore act Beyond Deviation have recruited more than 400 vocalists for an unbelievable world record 37-minute song.

In the past, we’ve covered acts like Lost Conduit garnering almost a dozen guest vocalists for an album – but this is a whole different beast. With each guest vocalist getting the spotlight for only a few measures, you can expect a different voice to be heard every few seconds.

Apart from the widespread talent necessary for such a feat, one has to consider how much work went into this beastly project. Reaching out to 400 different people and getting them ALL to follow  through with high-quality vocal recordings warrants some serious praise.

This track, the length of most modern albums, has everything from gutturals to pig squeals to growls, encapsulating all facets of the deathcore genre in a celebration of it, including vocalists from staples like In Dying Arms, I Declare War, ANGELMAKER, and tons others, with nary a moment lacking in vocal quality.

On top of the vivifying vocal feat comes an instrumental backbone that is praiseworthy of maintaining the attention of any listener willing to hear every vocalist this world record encapsulates. It’s rare to see something this bold take the scene by storm, and who knows when we’ll see it again.
