While the album just celebrated its anniversary earlier this month, Of Mice & Men are celebrating their 2010 self-titled debut album in another way – its single “Second And Sebring”, a live and fan favorite, has been certified Gold by the RIAA. It’s pretty notable because it’s one of a very few scene singles + albums from the 2010s post-hardcore/metalcore scene to reach any kind of certification, and 500,000 sales is nothing to sneeze at. Streaming services have definitely helped, too, as the song is their most popular on Spotify at almost 50 million streams alone.
Modern metalcore is not a genre defined by notoriety or accolades but moreso defined by the audience appreciating & connecting with the stories we share about ourselves. This is an incredible achievement made possible by our amazing fans who believe in the power of heavy music! pic.twitter.com/7p8eIexIqo
