Wrestlemania 40 XL Night One

WWE Women’s World Title Match
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch

Rhea getting Motionless In White to play her in was cool. This was a decent match. Becky had strep they said so she wrestled through it. Didn’t expect Rhea to lose her belt but they had a good match.

WWE RAW Tag Team Title / WWE SmackDown Tag Team Title Six-Pack Ladder Match
The Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor) (c) vs. Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) vs. #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) vs. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate)

A lot of sloppy moments here but some good spots here. R Truth getting his Wrestlemania first win though is worth it all.

Tag Team Match
Andrade & Rey Mysterio (w/Carlito, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde & Zelina Vega) vs. Dominik Mysterio & Santos Escobar (w/Angel, Berto & Elektra Lopez)

Fast action here with some really creative spots. Got the run ins from everyone including Jason Kelce and another Eagles player. A fun match here and Andrade gets a little spotlight.

Singles Match
Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso

God this was awful. It felt like It dragged on and never hit a moment of anything important happening. Nonstop super kicks used in the most boring manner there is made this even more insulting.

Six Man Tag Team Match
Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill & Naomi vs. Damage CTRL (Asuka, Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane)

Cargill really didn’t come off looking good here. Her moves, as they did in AEW, looked sloppy and like she was out of place. Otherwise this was fine with some good spots and Damage CTRL really trying to save this.

2.5 / 5

WWE Intercontinental Title Match
Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn

A shocking end here with Sami ending Gunthers streak. This was a fantastic match with Gunther trying multiple times to finish off Zayn and not having it work. The crowd was really behind this and exploded when Sami was able to get the pin.

4 / 5

Tag Team Match
Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins vs. The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & The Rock) (w/Paul Heyman)

For starters this match was way too long. 46 minutes long and could have been less than half of that easily. The last 15 minutes or so was fine when the action picked up but this was a boring slug to get through that was all done so Cody could have to overcome a Bloodline Rules match night 2.
