Though he was only a part of 1 album and in the band for a few years, vocalist Ashe O’Hara’s time in Tesseract was very well-received to be sure. 2013’s Altered State showcased his dynamic vocals, and cemented the band as one of progressive metal’s leading lights. That being said, upon leaving the band, he returned to his original project, Voices From The Fuselage. The band’s 2015 debut album, Odyssey: The Destroyer of Worlds, was an atmospheric alternative metal-influenced album that also ended up gaining the band some more worldwide acclaim. What, exactly, will the band be doing for a follow-up?
The first presumed volley comes in the form of a brief, 30 second video the band posted earlier today of Ashe in the studio, which you can watch below. Certainly, while the band’s debut full-length was quite good, one wonders how much they can continue to progress and evolve. You can also view an AMA the band did below via Facebook live, where they answer a bunch of fan-submitted questions.
