The UK’s Most Vital Post-Hardcore Band Is Back, And Better Than Ever

Look at that album art. If that work of art doesn’t draw you in for some reason, the fantastic music surely will. The alternative metal/post-hardcore group is releasing their first album in 6 years, Behind The Devil’s Back, October 16th. It’s an amalgamation of Fightstar’s various albums and other projects – Charlie Simpson’s solo material comes through in the way of even more incredible vocal hooks, the synths and keys from the Gunship side project, and the furious post-hardcore/alt-metal that peers like Funeral For A Friend and Deftones perfected – only taken to an entirely new level. Listen to that chorus in “Sharp Tongue”. You can’t tell me the distorted guitars and Charlie Simpson’s tranquil (yet volatile!) voice doesn’t remind you of Chino Moreno, circa White Pony.
