The Hu and Asking Alexandria bring “Psycho Thunder” to Green Bay

By Mariah Berg

Psycho Thunder tour is making its way across the US and slaying every single show along the way. The Epic event Center is the perfect venue to host a nearly sold out metal show on a Wednesday night! As the Psycho Thunder tour is a Co-Headlining tour with The HU and Asking Alexandria, Green Bay, WI was lucky enough to see The HU headline the packed show!

Opening up the night was a band called Zero 9:36. It was phenomenal to see how many folks showed up right from the start. Zero 9:36 played to a packed house at the Epic Event Center and every person in the building was engaging in their performance! So many fans were singing along with Zero to songs like “Stuck in my Ways”, “Adrenaline” and more. They were probably the perfect band to get fans warmed up for the rest of the night!

Next to take the stage is a band that has been around for 15+ years and needs no introduction, Asking Alexandria! The second Asking Alexandria took the stage, the crowd roared! Everyone was head banging and screaming the lyrics back at vocalist Danny Worsnop. Asking Alexandria played songs for every type of fan, the old and the new. Vocalist Danny even gave the crowd a little taste of his acoustic guitar! Asking Alexandria is so interactive with their crowd. From having everyone light the room with their lighters, playing the acoustic guitar, even a wall of death!

Now last but not least, one of the most mesmerizing bands there is, The HU! As soon as The HU took the stage, the crowd was captivated by their incredible stage presence! There is no other bands playing in the US that are similar to The HU, they are one of a kind. Their Mongolian culture is displayed by techniques they use such as throat singing, and the instruments they use such as the Morin Khuur. The Morin Khuur is a Mongolian stringed instrument which is very important to the Mongolian culture. They also use an instrument called the Tovshuur which is a 2 or 3 stringed instrument that is always homemade and also commonly used in the Mongolian culture. It is so cool to see people from the Mongolian culture love metal music.

The HU showed their love for the genre by jamming to two songs by Metallica, “Through the Never” and “Sad But True”. Over all, The HU is a band that everyone must see live, at least once. There is nothing else like them and there is so much to learn about this band and their culture. There are only a few shows left of the Psycho Thunder tour, grab your tickets before the show near you sells out!
