Since their debut album Transmissions in 2014, Starset have been delivering some of the most interesting cinematic rock around. Their newest album has been making plenty of waves in the rock world (and beyond), and the band’s blend of rock with huge electronic vibes has earned them plenty of accolades as well. Transmissions is where it all began for the band, though, and its massive single “My Demons” is almost inarguably the band’s most popular song. In fact, just by Spotify metrics, it outnumbers their second most-streamed song a little over a 3-1 ratio, with 203 million to date. Saying it’s pretty popular is indeed true, and now the song has reached a major sales milestone that’s rare for a rock band in this climate.
Now the album has been certified by the RIAA for Platinum sales – indicating over one million copies of the single have been sold. Pretty impressive when you consider that rock bands simply don’t sell as many albums as they used to.
