Ski Mask The Slump God brought out a 5 year old fan + Bryan Garris of Knocked Loose on stage – watch

$uicideboy$’ curated 2022 Grey Day tour has been yet another success. Bringing out a diverse lineup of hip-hop, rap, hardcore, and metal artists has rarely been so exciting as this year’s edition, which features Knocked Loose, Ski Mask The Slump God, Code Orange, JPEGMAFIA, and so many more (depending on the date). The tour lineup itself feels like a festival instead of just a normal show, though it’s not so surprising how well these audiences overlap.

What is also true is that it looks like a really, really good time that you don’t want to miss. In fact, if you take a step back (hah!), you may have recently gotten to witness Ski Mask The Slump God dragging a 5 year old and Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris on stage during a performance of “Take A Step Back”. Let’s just say moshpits were had and Twitter + TikTok made it explode.

Speaking of which, videos like this speak to the power of diverse lineups – especially within heavy + outsider music. While many metalcore + hardcore bands choose to only tour with similar bands (nothing wrong with that, of course), bands like Knocked Loose + Code Orange are great at expanding their profile and courting a new, diverse audience that will remember them long after a show or festival is over. Smart, really.
