Florida post-hardcore band Royal Hearts have slowly gained traction over the last few years, both from their regular intervals of streaming new songs as well as some strategic shows with notable bands (they’re also playing with Blessthefall at the end of February). While their sound does hearken back to the days of when Warped Tour-esque post-hardcore was the big vibe, Royal Hearts also aren’t a purely nostalgic act. Instead, they’re taking a popular sound and updating it for a new generation, which is always a plus.
The band’s first new single of 2024, “For The Last Time”, continues in that vein. It’s one of the band’s heaviest tracks to date, probably more metalcore than post-hardcore in scope. You might say it’s made for the mosh pit, in any case. Give it a spin below and let us know what you think.
