With their first full-length (Behind The Devil’s Back) in Lord knows how many years releasing 10/16, now is as good a time as any to discover, or rediscover, UK post-hardcore/progressive/alternative rock juggernauts, Fightstar. Their debut full-length, released in March of 2006 (!!!), was (and still is) a cornerstone of UK post-hardcore, coming up right around the time bands like Funeral For A Friend were hitting it big. With lush, beautiful tracks like “Mono” sitting alongside occasionally chaotic pieces like “Waste A Moment”, the band clearly set itself apart from their peers by being the most experimental of the bunch – tracks like “Paint Your Target” show the band at the peak of their songwriting abilities.

With that in mind, stream the album below – give it a spin whether you’ve heard it a million times, and if you’re unfamiliar with the band, prepare yourself for the new material (hint: it’s phenomenal) by getting acclimated to the debut.
