The United Center in Chicago, IL was a full on dance party for 2 nights as “The Trilogy” tour hit bringing in Spanish music sensations Pitbull, Ricky Martin, and Enrique Iglesias. With all 3 acts doing close to headline sets the arena quickly sold out adding a second night which then also sold out.
Kicking off night 1 was Ricky Martin. The Puerto Rican singer was all smiles as he danced around the stage bringing his blend of pop / dance / and reggaeton infused music. The most visually tame of the 3 acts playing Martin relied heavily on singalongs and his back up dancers as the star of the show. Blasting through hit after hit in his set the crowd ate up every second of it.
Following him was crossover sensation Enrique Iglesias. The legend who went from one of Spanish musics top selling names to making a massive career in English music as well showcased just how diverse his discography is. From Spanish music mega hits to English pop songs to perfect singalongs his set covered everything. Even coming out to the second stage for a slower portion of the set getting closer to the crowd Enrique knows how to play to an arena. Including smoke cannons, balloon drops, and almost nonstop movement by him for most songs he turned his set into a giant party.
Ending the night though was Mr.Worldwide himself Pitbull. Most commonly forget that Pitbull was a big name in Spanish music pumping out hits before he became a massive name in pop music. His set consisted heavy on his English massive radio hits which are plentiful as well as a Daddy Yankee and Usher cover. It was a bit odd to not see him come out though for Enriques set since they have a song together that would have been great to see performed together. Pitbull ended the night with a party though and nonstop energy as he and his dancers commanded the stage and turned the floor and stands into a dash floor.
