Between having their song “Masterpiece” hit #1 at rock radio and sold-out tours, it’s been a good album cycle for Motionless In White’s new album, Scoring The End Of The World. I mean, it has features from Mick Gordon and Knocked Loose (just to name two), and that’s pretty exciting in itself.
Their success has been well-documented, of course. A few years prior, their single “Another Life” started climbing the charts – and it’s still arguably their most well-known song (by some metrics). It’s also arguably their most popular by most statistics, and a few days ago, it hit a major milestone that MIW have never reached previously.
At the time of this writing, it’s approaching almost 100 million streams on Spotify, and now it’s been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 units moved. Very impressive considering it’s only a few years old, and even more because it’s a relative rarity for a newer rock or metal band in today’s music climate.
Thanks to the best fans to exist, we trended #4 on all of YouTube last night. So glad you guys like it. What’s your favorite scene from the video? pic.twitter.com/82IrxE3t8y
