It’s been almost a decade (2014, to be exact) since Job For A Cowboy released their album Sun Eater. A quantum leap in the band’s songwriting abilities and one that pushed their technical abilities to the absolute limit, they haven’t released a record since then. Sad! Especially considering the band had started to reach a new level of peak professionalism, at least in our humble opinion.
The band was revealed to have been working with Jason Suecof on a new album fairly recently, and while updates have been fairly scarce on the new album, there’s now been more updates – namely that the vocals for the new record are “half done”.
As has been previously known, Navene Koperwais will be handling the drums as a session drummer for the album. And while there’s no timeline for release obviously, it appears somewhat likely that a new JFAC album will surface in 2023. Here’s hoping anyway, considering how good Sun Eater was.
