Ohio metalcore band Wasted Away release their new song “Finally Free”

Straight out of Ohio comes a heavy hitting metalcore band that sticks out from the pack. Hailing from Cincinnati comes the band Wasted Away. Surfacing in 2020 with their song “Disgust”, Wasted Away quickly showcased a carefully blended mixture of nu-metal, post-hardcore, deathcore, and hardcore. Gaining inspiration from bands such as Knocked Loose, The Plot In You, Slipknot, Lorna Shore, and more, Wasted Away creates an unsettling atmosphere with their music, backed by clever melodies and songwriting. The band has had a solid platform with their first handful of singles, as well as their one EP released throughout the last two years, and now they’ve unleashed their newest song. Wasted Away has recently released their newest song “Finally Free”, and it’s easily my favorite of the songs released thus far by the group. The new song is taken from the band’s debut full length album “Finally Free” is set to release in the Fall of 2022. The unique combination of influences make Wasted Away a unique listening experience, and one I’ll be adding to my playlist.
