Straddling the line between melodic strains of hardcore and the more conventional riffs of modern metalcore, Michigan’s Of Virtue truly burst onto the scene with their album Heartsounds – a fully formed debut effort that garnered the band plenty of comparisons to Misery Signals. With the band’s last couple singles (especially “Ghost Town”), they’re refining their core sound while also managing not to alienate previous fans, which is certainly a positive trait.
The band, who are heading out on tour with Redeem/Revive and We Gave It Hell (the tour started yesterday, actually), recently premiered their new track “Torn Apart”. Rest assured, this is high-quality metalcore that demands your attention. Check out the video below, as well as the tour dates.
