Machine Gun Kelly and Blink-182’s Travis Barker team up for cover of Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name” – watch

Though he’s already released a new song tackling the pop-punk genre, Machine Gun Kelly has released have joined forces once again for a cover of Rage Against The Machine’s 1992 hit “Killing In The Name”. The song, released 28 years ago off the band’s self-titled debut album, unfortunately carries all too much weight in the wake of the ongoing George Lloyd protests breaking out across all 50 states – and even in over a dozen countries worldwide.

The video for the track also features footage of the protests as well as Mod Sun, Barker, Yungblud, and Kelly on the frontlines during all of this. Of course, they’re not the only musicians banding together to try to create meaningful change – not with bands like Stick To Your Guns, Can’t Swim, Between The Buried And Me, and END all putting together either t-shirts for charity and/or contributing profits this weekend toward various funds and benefits.

“They wrote this song in 1992, it’s been 28 years since, and every word still applies”, said Kelly on the caption of the song on Youtube.
