Updated: Linkin Park Accused of Calling Cops on Sublime With Rome

Why? Because the band was smoking weed backstage at the KFMA Music Festival in Tucson, AZ.

Sublime With Rome tweeted this comment after the incident:

“Linkin Park called the cops on us and said that they were allergic to pot. cops came and took all our weed while we on stage. Bitch shit”

According to the police report, someone claiming to be a security guard for Linkin Park approached the deputy with the claim that one of the members was suffering from an allergy to the smoke coming from the Sublime dressing room.
Mike Shinoda posted these comments via his twitter account:

“LP didn’t “call the cops” on @RomeMusica smoking pot. Not sure where the rumor came from. Definitely not my style, bummer it happened.”

“We were at a meet & greet when Sublime was on stage, not dressing room. Wouldn’t even know if there was smoke. CC: @AltPress @RomeMusica”

“If someone was “representing the band” to the cops in the venue about weed smoke, they were out of line.”

While it’s unclear who was behind notifying the cops, Mike Shinoda clearly didn’t agree with how the situation was handled.
