So High

Houston, TX

Loko Title Match
Dante Leon (c) vs. Jack Cartwheel

A fun opener. Dante Leon looked good but Cartwheel had the advantage most the match. A very sloppy match though not even due to the speed of which it flowed. It just seemed like a lot of moves were dropped or slipped and that left a dent in the match making some moments just look messed up due to the issues.

Singles Match
Allie Katch vs. Gino Medina

A very mediocre match here. Moved along nicely but whole fully bland and forgetful until the end spot which was dumb but at least made the match a little fun.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Jimmy Lloyd vs. Ninja Mack

Jimmy looked good with a different style than we usually see done. Mack as always is impressive with his high flyer style. The match itself moved quick and didn’t take longer than needed making it a quick fun break different than we saw open the event.

Tag Team Match
Bryan Keith & Mysterious Q vs. The Second Gear Crew (AJ Gray & Matthew Justice)

Bryan Keith and Mysterious Q both came off looking great against SGC in this fun brawl. Tons of great spots by both sides and moved along at a fast pace that kept the crowd going into it. Grey looked good here with Justice in SGC. It felt like with how good both sides flowed together that the match could go to either side.

4 / 5

Six Man Tag Team Match
Demonic Flamita, Gringo Loco & Low Rider vs. ASF, Chris Carter & Drago Kid

A very fun 6 man lucha tag. Spot fest galore as expected with Drago Kid coming off as the MVP of the match. Not as botch filled as usual lucha and scramble GCW matches which was good and Gringo continues to lead GCWs lucha type division for good reason.

3.5 / 5

Singles Match
Atticus Cogar vs. Nick Wayne

A solid match continuing the Atticus / Oliver feud with Atticus facing Olivers partner Nick Wayne. Wayne is impressive for only 16 and has a lot of potential. The issue here that shows is that Waynes move just don’t always connect or look extremely soft. It was a good match with a faster pace between these two giving a good match.

3 / 5

Singles Match
Tony Deppen vs. Bandido

A solid match between Bandido and Deppen both from ROH. More of a slow match that didn’t really pick up towards the second half as the first half had more slow bits and show boating going on. Nothing out of the ordinary here from either guy though as they kept the match somewhat basic.

3 / 5

Singles Match
Sadika vs. Effy

What started off as an incredibly mediocre brawl took a turn once Effy took a nasty hit on some tubes which sliced him pretty badly. What almost looked like it became a shoot at times turned into a fun quick deathmatch brawl with some barbed wire and a nasty move including a chair being thrown in. Typical Sadika doing her own thing at times but it was a fine but quick match.
