L.S. Dunes (featuring members of MCR, Coheed, Circa Survive & Thursday) will blow your mind with debut single

L.S. Dunes is the supergroup elder emo and scene kids have dreamed of. Featuring guitarist Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), guitarist Travis Stever (Coheed & Cambria), vocalist Anthony Green (Circa Survive), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday), and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday), the band is a “who’s who” of top-tier talent from big bands in the scene.

The band has broken several massive news stories at once, with the release date for their debut album Past Lives coming out this November 11th, and the band’s first single and video “Permanent Rebellion” coming along right with it. As if that isn’t enough, the band will be making their debut live performance at this year’s Riot Fest in Chicago, where My Chemical Romance are set as headliners for night 1 of the festival. From there the band will be embarking on their first ever tour, you can find the dates below.

After the shock of the pandemic shutdown, the close friends and mutual admirers urgently realized that “tomorrow” is not promised. “We never knew if we would ever get to play these songs together; in fact none of us lifelong musicians really knew if we’d ever be able to play music for a live audience ever again,” Iero recounts. “‘Permanent Rebellion’ is about taking back what is rightfully yours.”

Rule adds, “We wanted to do something where you can hear all our bands in it and yet, not have it sound like any one in particular. Our roots are punk rock and hardcore, and the vibe is hope for all the lost souls.”
