Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth among those who were photographed storming the U.S. Capitol, now wanted by police

No doubt you’ve likely heard by now about all the people who stormed the U.S. Capitol January 6th in protest of the 2020 Presidental Election results. It’s left 4 people dead as of now, and photos of the alleged perpetrators have certainly made their way across the Internet with a legion of memes.

Well, one of the perpetrators, who was alleged to be Iced Earth guitarist Jon Schaffer, has now been confirmed as such. And he is now wanted by police for his role, easily identified because of his (and others’) refusal to wear a mask.

The FBI have now circulated a plethora of photos of those who were found storming the Capitol, and one of them does indeed appear to be Schaffer. And as Blabbermouth helpfully pointed out, Schaffer went on a tirade on Facebook Live recently last month, saying “These people lie all the fucking time; it’s what they do. They’re feckless traitors. That’s what Congress is. They deceive all of us. I don’t care if it’s Parliament or whatever system you have — it’s a joke. They’re criminals, and they’re owned by criminal bankers, and that’s just the reality of it.”

One more damning piece of information that the signs have been there all along is that, according to Badlands Recording owner Charles “Chaz” Najjar, Schaffer used the N-word many times while recording in 2003 while he was working with Morrisound Studio in Tampa, while recording 2004’s The Glorious Burden. It should be noted this accusation is alleged, however. He’s also sported the Confederate Flag multiple times.
