Sometime in the last year or so, Canadian indie rock band Courage, My Love have undergone a transition from pop-punk darlings to a more textured, synthpop-esque sound. And it shows – the band is currently finishing up a summer run on the Vans Warped Tour, and recently released a new album, Synesthesia. The material is one that easily fits on bigger stages, yet contains the band’s catchy and clinical songwriting that, despite a change in style, has never really left.
We sat down with the band to talk about their recent run in Europe with Halflives, what the band does on off days, and the aforementioned stylistic maturity that is seeing the band get a lot of attention. You can check out the interview below, as well as the band’s music video for “Need Someone”.
