“Outsiders met inside a house party / Felt like just us / You saw me through everybody.”
The opening line of He Said’s new single “Credits” narrates a story of meeting someone; a chance encounter. Stemming from a post-tour visit to Amsterdam, the lead singer Shannon was inspired by a tour guide’s parting words. The East Coast pop-punk band has released a song that beautifully encapulates the essence of unexpectedly crossing paths with someone and savoring that moment without fretting about the unknown. “Credits” embraces life’s unpredictability: “Just trust me, it’s blurry / We’re destined after all / Our stories will be intertwined… / You laughed and then pulled me in / Gave me chills / Couldn’t hide it… / So baby, I’ll see you next time.
