From Ashes To New prove it’s all about the fans (again), play a show in a tiny basement

By all standards, From Ashes To New are a fairly big act in the scene. While maybe not quite big enough to headline arenas (yet), the band has garnered a ton of success in the industry over their decade of existence. Weathering member changes and s shifting musical climate, the band’s hybrid of pop melodies and rock/metal leaning sound has won them a pretty sizable fanbase. Even on their headlining tours, they routinely play pretty large clubs – and that’s not even talking about the support tours they do in much larger venues. Anyway, they’re pretty successful.

Thanks to COVID-19, though, they experienced what almost every band in the industry has had to grapple with, in terms of having tour dates canceled. Just like when the band made the best of a bad situation at Rebel Rock Festival in Orlando last year, though, the band did it again while in Utah.

Never wanting to let their fans down in any city or state, FATN had to cancel their tour date in Salt Lake City, Utah last year. The tl;dr version is this: while struggling to find any suitable venues in the area to play, the band’s agent approached FATN as he was able to find a tiny basement – obviously below capacity for what the band is really used to. Of course, From Ashes To New certainly aren’t below those types of venues themselves, as they were once a tiny (but determined) band trying to make it in the industry. So, the band made it all work after all to give back to their fans.

Seriously, how can you not appreciate that? In a world where sometimes bands and musicians take their fans for granted, it’s always nice to see a band that really does appreciate their fanbase. And with FATN working on their fourth full-length album as we speak, there’s a very good chance new fans of From Ashes To New will learn quickly what most already know – they’re truly a band that gives their supporters what they want.
