ECW Living Dangerously 1998 (Wrestling Review)

ECW

Living Dangerously

Ashbury Park, New Jersey

March 1st, 1998

Tag Team Match
Chris Chetti & Jerry Lynn vs. The FBI (Little Guido & Tracy Smothers) (w/Tommy Rich)

It stayed short and was a harmless opening match that got the crowd going a bit.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Doug Furnas (w/Lance Wright) vs. Masato Tanaka

Tanaka can do so much better.

1 / 5

Singles Match
Too Cold Scorpio vs. Rob Van Dam (w/Bill Alfonso)

This had its moments but vastly overstayed its welcome.

2.5 / 5

Tag Team Three Way Elimination Match
Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney vs. New Jack & Spike Dudley vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley) (w/Big Dick Dudley, Joel Gertner & Sign Guy Dudley)

This was a lot of fun. Bloody with a lot of spots and weapons. The balcony dive was great here and this what the show needed to get going.

4 / 5

Singles Match
Tommy Dreamer vs. Justin Credible (w/Jason & Nicole Bass)

A boring run in type match that didn’t work.

1.5 / 5

ECW World Television Title Match
Taz (c) vs. Bam Bam Bigelow

A fantastic match with some insane spots. The throw off the ramp into the crowd was brutal and the ring breaking at the end is a legendary moment.

4.5 / 5

Dueling Canes Match
The Sandman vs. Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso)

A Singapore cane match where canes aren’t even the main weapon. This had its moments but was a typical hardcore brawl here.

2.5 / 5

Tag Team Match
Al Snow & Lance Storm vs. The Triple Threat (Chris Candido & Shane Douglas) (w/Francine & Tammy Lynn Sytch)

The crowd raving with the heads was the best part. As a match and main event this was a joke.
