Details Arrive On Inquisition’s Upcoming Album

Inquisition is one of the most rapidly growing names in modern black metal. With currently six critically acclaimed full-lengths released between 1998 and 2013, fans are eagerly anticipating the next masterpiece. With fans seeing Inquisition was in the studio to record their seventh full length at the end of 2015 and a recent teaser, fans know that a new Inquisition album is just around the corner. Now, we have even more information about the upcoming full-length.

Inquisition recently announced some information in an interview which can be seen here (unless you speak German, that is going to be useless to you). However, while linking the article Inquisition did say the following:

“Bloodshed Across the Empyrean Altar Beyond the Celestial Zenith”. Release is worldwide after summer solstice 2016.
Inquisition studio report, below, on this upcoming full length in German; Release date mentioned in the studio report has since been changed.

So we now have the album’s title which is lengthy and it sounds black metal as all of Inquisition’s records. But wouldn’t it be nice to have an actual release date? Well thanks to Inquisition’s record label, Season of Mist, we know that as well. Season of Mist stated:

INQUISITION Official have announced that their forthcoming full-length will bear the title ‘Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith’. The new album of the US black metal giants has been scheduled for release on the 26th of August. More details will be revealed soon!

They must be really trying to build hype for this thing. I already can’t even wait for the new album. Hopefully we will get a new song and pre-order bundles in the next month or so. I know I can’t wait for this album and will probably end up buying the biggest bundle offered. Are you looking forward to new Inquisition?
