The last time we heard from New Orleans metal band Cane Hill, they were touring with Sevendust and releasing last year’s Kill The Sun EP, a short but sweet record that was a major change of pace for the band. While it certainly resonated well with the band’s burgeoning fanbase, it appears the band’s new music – which is being recorded now – will have some of the heavy vibes that made the band’s debut EP and first two full-lengths so successful.
The band is now in the studio today recording new music, and we couldn’t be more excited for it. There’s not really much more to it than that. Cane Hill is far from the only band who are taking cues from the nu-metal and metalcore playbooks – but their strong sense of melody and improving songwriting skills have their upcoming album release one that should be anticipated by just about everyone. Especially if they’re capable of creating melodic, bouncy, off-kilter songs like this.
we’ve been pretty “shhhhhh” recently but it’s because we’re making art ok?
