Apparently Bullet For My Valentine weren’t messing around when they said their upcoming self-titled album would be “heavy”. While it’s usually a manufactured buzzword used to the point of hilarity (as in, “this is our heaviest record to date” and then it ends up lukewarm), it appears BFMV actually are taking the label seriously with the second single from their upcoming self-titled album, “Parasite”.
Seriously, there’s blast beats and nonstop aggression in thing, and it definitely hearkens back to the band’s previous, early material without necessarily sounding like a clone of it. Fairly impressive stuff. Give it a spin below – you be the judge.
“I think it’s the most ferocious side of Bullet For My Valentine that I’ve ever known,” says lead guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget. “It’s time for us to put out a really angry, heavy, aggressive record. I just can’t wait to grimace on stage!”
