A breath of fresh air in the hardcore genre has come in the form of Belgium’s Moments. Forming in 2014, the band first made waves with their debut EP titled ‘Modern Day Life’, and have since released three albums counting their newest release, and three EPs. The band has gained more momentum in recent years with songs like ‘Nemesis’, ‘Expectations’, ‘The Void’, and more! Moments have just released their brand-new album ‘Tidal Waves’ and this eight track album is a memorable one, in the best ways. The album kicks off with ‘A World Ablaze’ and rightfully sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song leads into one of my favorites from the band, ‘Expectations’. Moments keeps the momentum flowing throughout each song in a well-structured manner, making for a pleasurable listening experience. Moments creative songwriting is one of the aspects of the group that captures my attention, and their songwriting is better than ever in this new album. My favorite tracks off the record include ‘Safe & Sound’, ‘Backstabber’, and ‘Expectations’. Fans of music that falls in the realm of melodic hardcore may find something they like with Moments!
