New Damage Records is putting out some great releases lately – Exalt’s late 2014 album Pale Light, new material from Boston Manor and Counterparts (in Canada), and a few months ago they released the new EP from Sparrows, Dragging Hell. Maybe I’m a month or two late to the party here, but having listened to the EP, I picked up early Thursday vibes, and some definitely The Satellite Years-era Hopesfall here. Is Sparrows bringing back the revered post-hardcore sound of the early 2000’s here? You bet they are. And they’re our band of the week, too.
