Australia’s Danger Den bring high-energy pop-punk with “Merch Guy Mike’s Favorite Song”

It’s only the middle of March, but 2024 already has arguably the best song title you’ll hear all year long. At least where pop-punk is concerned. We’re speaking of Australia’s Danger Den, who recently released their first new music since 2021 in the form of “Merch Guy Mike’s Favorite Song”. It appears bringing back the long song titles of years gone by has paid off, as the song is already gaining some headway – and it could end up being one of their most successful to date.

Considering they’ve only been around for a few years, what they’ve built so far is pretty impressive, so keep an eye out for what’s next in Danger Den land. We can only hope for more lengthy + hilarious song titles like this one, it almost seems like something you’d find on a Fall Out Boy record. Thankfully, the music is pretty solid too, with Bad Religion actually being a fair point of reference (think: the band’s early to mid-’90s output). Listen and enjoy.
