Australian metalcore band Harroway act on “Impulse” on their latest single

Labeled one of the “best new talents in the scene” by Australian publication Wall Of Sound, Australian metalcore band Harroway are making a name for themselves in a crowded scene. With a handful of singles and a 2021 debut full-length under their collective belts already, Harroway’s loud and groove-laden take on the genre is earning them new fans in short order.

The band’s new single, “Impulse”, continues to deliver on what the band excels at – bouncy metalcore that will likely compel you to mosh. You can stream the new song below, and it’s also available on all streaming services at this location. As vocalist Matthew Banks notes about the song…

“‘Impulse” lyrically dives into the nature of compulsion/impulsiveness that is a part of the day to day struggles for people with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), a retelling of what it’s like inside the mind of someone who uses substance addiction as a crutch to deal with mental illness,” he explains, before adding “Leading up to the lyric side of writing for ‘Impulse’ I wanted to make sure that the song was personal to me but also touching on something that others go through. Gem and I are both diagnosed with BPD. Gem had the idea of talking about our struggles with addiction, which through therapy we realised was due to lack of impulse control stemming from our diagnosis”.
